Three Things Thursday: Blanket Bandit, Early Bloomers, & Spiffy Rocks

Welcome back to Three Things Thursday, a way to fill your blogs and social media with the happy!

Three Things Thursday is a simple concept that everyone is encouraged to play along with. All it requires is listing three (or more!) things that are making your life awesome. Please note! The three things you choose each week do not need to be big, huge, mighty, impressive things. In fact, I think it’s much better to focus on smaller, sillier things…because focusing on those little bits of joy and the gigglesnorts that they bring…well, that’s where day-to-day contentment lives, I believe.

So, how do you participate? Easy as falling off a log! Whip up a blog post about three things that are making you smile…then share it on the link up in this post. Don’t want to do a whole blog post? Feel free to post some pictures on Facebook or Instagram! If you tag me in your pictures, I 100% promise to give them appropriate love.❤

Just one more thing! Three Things Thursday posts actually don’t need to be done on Thursdays! I leave the link up active for the whole week every week…so you can be grateful on your own schedule.🙂

Okay, here we goooooo…

ONE

Sometimes, Frank’s need to see what we’re doing in the kitchen is sooooo urgent that he just forgets to leave his blanket on the couch…instead he wears it around kind of cape-style. At such times, we just call him the Blanketed Bandit. 🙂

TWO

Our weather has been so whackadoodle recently that none of the plants seem to understand that it’s still Winter…and so we have daffodils blooming in mid-February. (Along with lots of other flowers, but I like this shot of the daffodil in contrast to the wood pile and brown leaves.)

THREE

I love, love, love that John and I, despite both being in our 40s, still think it’s perfectly reasonable to pick up a spiffy rock and carry it in a pocket for a couple of days before finding a home for it on the porch. The “rock” in front is a treasure from our hike on Saturday. 🙂

Now, my blog friends old and new, it’s your turn! Click on that little graphic below to share your own three things that are bringing you joy (or leave your list in the comments).🙂

And go ahead and grab a badge while you’re at it…because badges are awesome!🙂

Looking for even more ways to focus on the happy? Check out Trent’s Weekly Smile link up…it happens every week, and it’s just full of happiness. 🙂

What’s putting a smile on your face this week? Share your gigglesnorts!😀 I would love, love, love to hear all about the awesome bits of life that are making you feel warm and fuzzy.

I think that cape is a clue that Frank is really a super-hero! Happy Thursday, Frank and Emily!

I’ve always had my suspicions about how he spends his time when I’m not watching. 😉 Happy Thursday to you! 😀

Happy Thursday to you! I’m sorry you’re having trouble with the link up. 🙁 I checked it out, and everything seems to be set up correctly. (I sometimes goof up the dates, but they’re all good for this week.) Maybe try again in a little bit to see if the link up has magically sorted itself out?

Apparently InLinkz was having some trouble on their end. I’m told that they’ve run an update, and things should work now. If you’d like to try again, it *should* work now. 🙂

I LOVE collecting rocks still! We also keep them on our stoop. It seems to be genetic hehe, as our kiddo loves it as well! Also, blanketed Frank is just completely adorable.

I also can’t use the Link-Up. It doesn’t like my image, even though I’ve never had that problem before. Even when I choose a different image at a smaller size, it won’t accept it. Here’s my post URL, if that will help: http://retreadingforretirement.com/2017/02/16/three-things-thursday-69/

I am just so perplexed! I went in and checked things again, and everything seems to be like it is every week. Just to see if it helps, I changed the picture size from what I normally use. I’m going to see if I’m able to post your link…

Yeah, it didn’t work from my end either. I’ve submitted a support ticket with InLinkz, so, hopefully, we can get this all cleared up before Saturday’s Coffee Share and next week’s Three Things Thursday! I’m so sorry for any hassle!

I haven’t been able to link photos all week. I am able to upload them from my computer, so that’s what I’ve been doing when I do the InLinkz thing…

Shew! It’s a little comforting to know that it’s not just me. I sure hope they have things all worked out before my big coffee debut on Saturday! 😉

Even though you are in your 40s? I will be hugely disappointed if you and John no longer pick up spiffy rocks when you are in your 80s or 90s!

My dog used to do that all the time- thanks for the memory- it made me laugh and reminded me of my Max, gone 5 years now.

Thanks-He lived to the ripe old age of 17- and was a real character- it really always cracked me up when he would appear with that blanket over his back like that- your dog is adorable!!! 🙂

Awww, he sounds like a sweetie. Our pup is getting up there in age (as evidenced by all that gray…he used to be solid black). Since he was a rescue dog, we’re not exactly sure how old he is, but he’s been part of our family for 10 years (and we suspect he was about a year old when we adopted him). I wish he could stay with us for about a billion more years.

Frank the Blanketed Bandit thanks you for your kind words about his adorable-ness! 🙂
