Weekend Coffee Share: Homemade Cheese Crackers

Good morning! I hope you’re having a fabulous weekend! Once again, I’m a bit “late” with my Weekend Coffee Share post…I just couldn’t tear myself away from all of those beautiful, beautiful pictures of the marches yesterday. I didn’t march myself, but I was with all of my sisters (and brothers and non-binary siblings) in spirit.

Now come on in and enjoy some treats…the dinosaurs made delicious coffee homemade cheese crackers for us. (Of course the dinos will be sharing the recipe they used…just check the end of this post.)

The past week has been pretty quiet here at the Nerd House. Grace had three of her four finals last week (the fourth one will be tomorrow), so we’ve had a lot of studying and a wee bit of stressing. We only have final scores for one of her classes so far (an A in Latin…woot!), but we’re all confident that she has done well in all of her courses. 🙂

In other exciting school news, we just got the information this weekend for ordering Grace’s class ring. I can’t wait to see what she chooses! (And I’m sure, at this point, this is a way bigger deal to me than it is to her.) 😉

Other than general school excitement, I’ve been keeping busy with my usual stuff…volunteering with the kitties, Relay for Life planning, making sure these people are fed…that sort of stuff.

I’ve also been working on some various and assorted projects…a couple of crafty things for the dining room (to be shared soon), Valentine’s Day knitting, product planning for some 8th grade material, and some new goodies for A Clean Life. 🙂

The week ahead promises to be full of more work on my projects, PTSO meetings, and our usual weekly chaos. 🙂

On the blog, I’ve been doing my usual thing…with a fun addition for Valentine’s Day. On Friday, I announced that I’ll be sending out goofy, silly, nerdy Valentines to anyone who signs up. Well, guess what??? There are still some spaces available, so, if you’d like to receive a bit of silly from Nerd in the Brain, go HERE for the super quick and simple sign up form. 😀

I was also super-excited to bring Adventure Snacks back to the blog! Starting next Friday, Adventure Snacks will be an “every other week” feature here at Nerd in the Brain. (Because we do so enjoy testing these things for you!)

I’m finally starting to work into a comfortable blog schedule that covers all the topics I love to babble about so much. 🙂

Later today, I’ll be sharing the next installment of A Clean Life…this time we’ll be talking all about that menu plan. 🙂 If you need to get all caught up on A Clean Life, you can check out all previous posts HERE.

Speaking of A Clean Life, I have great news for February here on the blog! My BFF, Olivia, who is knowledgeable and qualified in such matters, will be sharing some information about getting our finances all smooth and organized and low-stress. (Neat!) She’ll be guiding you through some small, significant steps to getting money matters under control…I’m so looking forward to that!

And now for that cracker recipe! The original poster of the recipe creates goldfish-shaped crackers, but the dinos prefer to use my tiny cookie cutters to make all sorts of nifty shapes….though they are partial to the leaf-shaped cutters. 🙂

These crackers really are quite tasty. Personally, I think they have way better flavor than actual goldfish crackers.

Want to see more of the yums we try around here? I have a Pinterest board for that!

As usual, I’ve done quite enough yammering…and now it’s your turn! What have you been up to recently? What plans are in your future? Any awesome projects or goals or activities? Tell me all about it!

And until we chat again, I hope you have an amazing week full of love and hugs and giggles and learning and fun! ♥

Weekend Coffee Share is a fabulous link up that is graciously hosted by Part Time Monster. You should totally check it out! 🙂

They really are quite yummy…I like them better than actual goldfish crackers because they have a much more pleasing texture (in my opinion, of course)…and they actually taste like real, honest-to-goodness, came-from-a-cow-at-some-point cheese. 😉
