#WeekendCoffeeShare: The One Where I Babble Briefly

Good morning, my wonderful blog buddies! Come in and let these dinosaurs pour you some coffee…they’ve really outdone themselves with their coffee making skills today, so you’re in for a treat. 🙂 Have a seat, snuggle in, and tell me all about your week.

My week? It’s been another very business-focused week…with some Spring cleaning and awesomely fun time mixed in.  Awesomely fun time? Yep! My BFF scooted into town yesterday afternoon for some quality hanging out time and the Charlotte Ballet’s production of Wuthering Heights. The ballet was amazing…and the quality BFF time is amazing-er. 😉 In fact, she’s still here (she’s still snoozing upstairs…it turns out that not everyone in the world gets up at 6:00 am on a Saturday…who knew?), so I’ll actually be cutting today’s coffee a bit short. The good news for you? I have a pretty nice breakfast snack spread since we have non-virtual company…go ahead and help yourself to some fruit and yogurt and cheese and muffins.

Let’s see…what do I have to chatter about this week? I finished my huge clean-all-the-things project in my office, and I am thrilled! I even bought a vacuum cleaner (something we haven’t owned in several years because all of our long hair kills them so quickly) to finish the job. Now I’m just an Ikea trip away from office perfection! (Pictures to come after cute, matching desks have been added…I’m seriously wondering if I can talk my dear husband into an Ikea trip on this very day.)

I’ve also continued my “get my business together” efforts this week. I’m in the process of rebranding, and I’m doing this crazy thing where I actually think things through and plan before I just go willy nilly into something new. I’ve created a style board and everything! (Of course, it’s super-secret until I get all of my ducks lined up.) 😉

Other than that, I’ve just been up to my usual antics. For example, on this very day, I’m trying to figure out if I can seriously fit in a leisurely breakfast with my BFF, disc golf with my husband, a trip to Ikea, and a symphony performance this evening. Totally reasonable, right? 😉 (Yeah, all of that will not happen. The breakfast and disc golf are non-negotiable…everything else will get handled seat-of-the-pants style.)

Well, it’s coming up on time where the more sane of us human type critters get up on a Saturday morning, so I should probably swoosh away and tend to my “real life” company. Before I go, I do want to hear all about what you’ve been up to this week…and what you will be up to in the days ahead.

And since people do seem so very pleased with the animal therapy portion of our recent coffee chats, I thought I’d share this supremely adorable hedgehog…such cuteness is impossible to ignore! 🙂

I’m pretty sure I need a Pinterest board devoted to hedgehogs…or possibly an actual hedgehog. 😀

Now it’s your turn!

And until we chat again, I hope you have an amazing week full of love and hugs and giggles and learning and fun! ♥

Have a great day! I hope you get most of those things crammed in there 😉 Of course, things like symphony and breakfast do not conflict since they usually occur at different times of day…

Disc golf is like frisbee! It actually does use slightly different discs than a usual frisbee, so I think that’s why people make the distinction, but it’s practically the same thing. 🙂

You are such a productive person! I could take some tips from you. I am quite the procrastinator and find I get very little done lately.

This weekend I am prepping for a big test on Monday. It determines my fate in the PhD program. Yikes! Ok I better get off here and get on that.

Hope your weekend has been great! Love that happy hedgehog! They really are smiling.

You are always so busy, busy, busy! You make me feel like I should be doing so much more lol. I know you already bought a vacuum but if it craps out too, you might want to consider getting a Dyson. They are expensive but mine has lasted for many years and many cats and dogs including a husky/german shepard mix that shed year round in huge clumps.

Thank you for the coffee, as always 🙂

D’awwww what a cute hedgehog. 😀 I’m still playing catchup since coming home from vacation (hence it’s Thursday and I”m commenting on Saturday’s post haha.) But I’m almost fully caught up with everything and back to normal routine!

Hehehe…I wish I had such a fabulous reason for being so far behind. 🙂 I still haven’t responded to comments and things from last weekend, and I’ve been right here in my own little part of the world. 😉 I loved seeing your pictures of your trip on Instagram…it looked amazing!

We did have a fantastic time! 🙂 (And I hope you had a great time with yours!) Three miles from Ikea?!? I think I would never have a single penny in the bank…but my house would be fabulous. 😉
